Selcuk Universitesi (#15) forced the game against Mersin (#11) into an overtime, but lost by four points 72-76. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-13. But Selcuk Universitesi won second period 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Selcuk Universitesi used huge pressure winning it 18-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 6-10. Selcuk Universitesi was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American-Lebanese swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Mersin players scored in double figures. The former international guard Hakan Koseoglu (188-81) replied with 21 points and 8 assists and American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) added 24 points in the effort for Selcuk Universitesi. Mersin maintains eleventh position with 5-9 record, which they share with Turk Telekom. Selcuk Universitesi lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Trabzonspor.
