There was no surprise in Adana where 10th ranked Ceyhan Bld (6-10) was defeated by fifth ranked Botas (8-8) 80-69 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-69. Botas shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was naturalized American swingman Barbara Turner (183-84, college: Connecticut, agency: 1x1 Sports) who scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Hungarian power forward Anna Vadja (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (193-89, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Botas maintains fifth place with 8-8 record. Ceyhan Bld lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Botas will face Orduspor (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ceyhan Bld will play against Konak in Izmir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
