No shocking result in a game when third ranked Galatasaray (11-3) smashed on the road 10th ranked Olin Edirne (6-8) 98-77 on Sunday. The game without a history. Galatasaray led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 64.1 percent from the field. Galatasaray shot the lights out from three sinking 21 long-distance shots on high 65.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Olin Edirne's players. The best player for the winners was Serbian Zoran Erceg (210-85) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. International Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. American center Torin Francis (210-83, college: Notre Dame) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Reha Oz (200-78) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Five Galatasaray and four Olin Edirne players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Loser Olin Edirne dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Galatasaray will face Mersin (#11) in Akdeniz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olin Edirne will play on the road against Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul and hope to win that game.
