Regular Season Round 13: Kocaeli - Bursa BSB 60-73

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Kocaeli (6-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Bursa BSB (5-5) 73-60 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Alyssia Brewer (190-90, college: UCLA) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Deniz Selin Ekiz (189-89) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. International center Yasemin Koc (189-93) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and international Cansu Koksal (185-94) added 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Four Kocaeli players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Bursa BSB. They maintain sixth place in Group C with 5-5 record. Newly promoted Kocaeli dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Bursa BSB will have a break next round. Kocaeli will play on the road against Kastamonu (#9) and hope to win that game.
