Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Yakin Dogu (8-3) outleveled on the road 7th ranked Nigde Turk Telekom (3-8) 78-46 on Sunday. The game without a history. Yakin Dogu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nigde Turk Telekom to just 5 points in first quarter. Yakin Dogu dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Nigde Turk Telekom's 18. Yakin Dogu forced 21 Nigde Turk Telekom turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nigerian center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. Guard Sirin Altuntabakli (173-83) chipped in 18 points. Merve Ozsuveren (-93) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Mukaddis Aksoy (-91) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Yakin Dogu moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with Tekkekoy. Loser Nigde Turk Telekom keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Yakin Dogu will face league's second-placed Mersin Univ. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nigde Turk Telekom will play against the league's leader Mulkiye (#1) in Ankara and hope to win that game.
