An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Istanbul. First ranked Banvit BK faced second-ranked Anadolu Efes. Guests from Balikesir (13-1) defeated host Anadolu Efes (11-3) 76-70. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Anadolu Efes. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Banvit BK made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Anadolu Efes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American-Azerbaijani center Charles Davis (205-84, college: Alabama) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. International Kerem Gonlum (208-77) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American Jamon Lukas Gordon (191-84, college: Virginia Tech) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Banvit BK have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Anadolu Efes at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Galatasaray. Banvit BK are looking forward to face Besiktas (#9) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anadolu Efes will play on the road against Selcuk Universitesi (#15) in Konya and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
