The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Levski as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Levski edged 5th ranked Haskovo 2012 in Sofia 74-72. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 23-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Haskovo 2012 outrebounded Levski 44-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. International forward Hristina Ivanova (183-89) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and Montenegrin center Natasa Popovic (192-82) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four Levski players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Lidia Milkova (192-70) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Bahamas center Waltiea Rolle (198-90, college: N.Carolina) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Levski have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Haskovo 2012 at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Haskovo 2012 will play next round against strong Dunav 8806 trying to get back on the winning streak. Levski will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
