An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Varna. Third ranked Euroins Cherno More faced their biggest opponent Balkan. Host Euroins Cherno More (9-3) defeated guests from Botevgrad (8-3) 80-63. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Balkan. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Euroins Cherno More. Balkan managed to win third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian power forward Miljan Pupovic (210-83) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Serbian center Aleksandar Andrejevic (212-91) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Slovakian power forward Peter Sedmak (207-85) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Noah Dahlman (200-89, college: Wofford) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Euroins Cherno More and four Balkan players scored in double figures. Euroins Cherno More have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Balkan at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Levski Sofia. Euroins Cherno More are looking forward to face Levski Sofia (#4) on the road in the next round. Balkan will play against Tundja Yambol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
