There was no surprise when 8th ranked Urla BLD (1-11) was outleveled by fourth ranked Tekkekoy (9-4) in Izmir 87-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tekkekoy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tekkekoy forced 21 Urla BLD turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Urla BLD's players. Forward Doga Comba (185-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Aygun Ayyildiz (-93) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Tekkekoy players scored in double figures. Hulya Cakici (-88) replied with 24 points and 5 steals and Duygu Teke (-93) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Urla BLD. Tekkekoy maintains fourth position in Group C with 9-4 record. Urla BLD lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. Tekkekoy will face Bursa BSB (#6) at home in the next round. Urla BLD will play against the league's second-placed Yakin Dogu and hope to win that game.
