The game with biggest result difference took place in Kaunas. Local JAZZ-KTU (8-13) was outscored by tenth ranked Zalgiris II (8-12) 75-52 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-52. Zalgiris II outrebounded JAZZ-KTU 49-28 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Donatas Tarolis (202-94) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Belarusian center Aleh Kojenets (206-77, college: NC-Wilmington) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Regimantas Ostreika (201-81) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and forward Karolis Kokoska (194-92) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris II moved-up to ninth place. JAZZ-KTU lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Zalgiris II will meet at home higher ranked Vilnius-MRU (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. JAZZ-KTU will play against Nafta Univers. (#13) in Klaipeda and hope to secure a win.
