There was no surprise when 10th ranked Friendsfactory Germering (3-9) was crushed on the road by second ranked Bad Aibling (11-1) 71-41. The game without a history. Bad Aibling led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Friendsfactory Germering to just 5 points in first quarter. Bad Aibling dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Friendsfactory Germering's 30. They outrebounded Friendsfactory Germering 45-24 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Carla Bellscheidt (183-94) who scored that evening 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American swingman Ciara Iglehart (180-84, college: Ohio) supported her with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bad Aibling players scored in double figures. Bad Aibling's coach Milos Kandzic felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by the former international forward Magdalena von Geyr (180-84) did not help to save the game for Friendsfactory Germering. point guard Nicole Schmidt (168-89) added 8 points. Bad Aibling have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of South leader, which they share with Keltern.
