A very interesting game took place in . It ended with only two-point home defeat of 13th ranked Buyukcekmece (6-11) to sixteenth ranked Maliye Milli (5-12) 67-65 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Buyukcekmece took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Maliye Milli had a 20-11 second period charge getting the lead and Buyukcekmece was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-67. American swingman Vincent Grier (195-83, college: Minnesota) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and forward Erdem Turetken (199-79) added 13 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Buyukcekmece. Maliye Milli moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Pertevniyal. Newly promoted Buyukcekmece keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Maliye Milli's next round opponent will be higher ranked Akhisar Bld (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
