Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Usak (9-6) and Trabzonspor (4-11), which took place in Trabzon. Higher ranked Usak lost to fourteenth ranked Trabzonspor in a road game 83-100 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Trabzonspor. Usak managed to win fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton) came up with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Azerbaijani Orhan Haciyeva (200-89) added 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Usak in the defeat. Five Trabzonspor and four Usak players scored in double figures. Usak's coach Ozan Bulkaz let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Trabzonspor maintains fourteenth place with 4-11 record, which they share with Selcuk Univ. Usak at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Trabzonspor will meet at home higher ranked TED Kolejliler (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Usak will play against Royal Hali and hope to secure a win.
