The game in Samokov was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Levski Sofia (8-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Rilski (6-6). Levski Sofia managed to secure a 8-point victory 80-72 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 44-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Jumaine Jones (202-79, college: Georgia) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Nikolay Varbanov (209-85, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Levski Sofia players scored in double figures. Levski Sofia's coach Konstantin Papazov used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Auston Calhoun (201-90, college: Bowling Green, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Levski Sofia moved-up to third place, which they share with Balkan. Loser Rilski dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Levski Sofia will meet at home league's second-placed Euroins Cherno More in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski will have a break next round.
