Regular Season Round 12: Halle - Saarlouis 62-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Halle between second ranked SV Halle Lions (7-5) and seventh ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (6-6) on Saturday night. SV Halle Lions were defeated by TV Saarlouis Royals at home 79-62. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-62. TV Saarlouis Royals outrebounded SV Halle Lions 42-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. TV Saarlouis Royals moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Marburg and Herner. SV Halle Lions at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. TV Saarlouis Royals is looking forward to face Eisvogel Freiburg (#8) at home in the next round. SV Halle Lions will play against BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
