Not a big story in a game in Utena where 11th ranked Lietkabelis (3-15) was rolled over by eighth ranked Juventus (6-11) 82-57. The game without a history. Juventus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-23 charity shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Juventus outrebounded Lietkabelis 50-35 including a 41-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American forward AJ Matthews (216-89, college: Farmingdale St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Saulius Kulvietis (203-91) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Juventus players scored in double figures. Vaidas Kariniauskas (198-93) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian guard Goran Vrbanc (194-84) added 11 points in the effort for Lietkabelis. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Juventus maintains eighth position with 6-11 record. Lietkabelis lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Juventus will have a break next round. Lietkabelis will play on the road against Nevezis (#4) in Kedainiai and hope to win that game.
