Very expected game when 11th ranked UBC St. Polten (1-18) was smashed by sixth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (11-7) in St.Polten 88-68. The game was mostly controlled by Raiffeisen Wels. UBC St. Polten was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Raiffeisen Wels players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kelly Beidler (199-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Raiffeisen Wels and four UBC St. Polten players scored in double figures. Raiffeisen Wels moved-up to fifth place. UBC St. Polten lost their sixteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Raiffeisen Wels will play against Redwell Gunners Oberwart (#7) at home in the next round. UBC St. Polten will play against Gmunden Swans (#4) in Gmunden to get more than just one victory in their record.
