Regular Season Round 14: Aabyhoj - Lemvig 81-55

The game in Aabyhoj supposed to be quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Lemvig (8-6) played at the court of sixth ranked Aabyhoj (8-6). Aabyhoj smashed Lemvig 81-55 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Aabyhoj. Lemvig managed to win third quarter 9-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aabyhoj forced 19 Lemvig turnovers. Strangely Lemvig outrebounded Aabyhoj 43-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Maria Jespersen (182-94) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Bianca Morsoe (178-89) chipped in 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. American power forward Raven Berry (185-88, college: SIU Edwardsville) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Lemvig's coach Brianna Finch gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Aabyhoj moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Lemvig and Stevnsgade. Aabyhoj is looking forward to face higher ranked Horsholm (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Lemvig will play against Falcon and is hoping to win this game.
