There was a minor upset when 10th ranked JAZZ-KTU (8-14) was smashed by thirteenth ranked Nafta Univers. (7-14) in Klaipeda 89-63 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 56-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Nafta Univers. dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to JAZZ-KTU's 26. Nafta Univers. had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by JAZZ-KTU's players. Forward Viktoras Chodosovskis (200-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Nafta Univers. moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Suduva-Mantinga. JAZZ-KTU lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Nafta Univers. will face higher ranked Delikatesas (#4) in Joniskis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
