Falcon (#9) forced the game against Aalborg (#7) into an overtime, but lost by four points 92-96 on Saturday night. The game took place in Falcon. But the guests from Aalborg were better at the end. Falcon was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 9-13s. American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Trinidad and Tobago-Canadian point guard Joey Haywood (185-84, college: St.Mary's) chipped in 31 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Robert Thurman (208-89, college: California) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and forward Christian Thomsen (200-84) scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. Four Falcon players scored in double figures. Falcon's coach Rade Vojnovic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aalborg (7-9) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with SISU. Falcon lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Aalborg will meet at home league's leader Randers in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Falcon will play against Bakken (#3) in Aarhus and hope to secure a win.
