Regular Season Round 20: Gussing - UBSC Graz 81-66

A Bundesliga top team - Gussing Knights (15-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked UBSC Graz (3-16) 81-66. Strangely UBSC Graz outrebounded Gussing Knights 37-0 including a 11- advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Anthony Shavies (191-83, college: Missouri St., agency: Interperformances) who added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Croatian power forward Milan Stegnjaic (204-81) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Jeron Belin (198-88, college: St.Peter's) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Gussing Knights and five UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gussing Knights have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-4 record, which they share with Kapfenberg. UBSC Graz lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 16 games lost. Gussing Knights is looking forward to face league's second-placed Kapfenberg Bulls on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play against Redwell Gunners Oberwart (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
