The game in Hatay was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Istanbul Universitesi (13-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Antakya (7-9). Istanbul Universitesi managed to secure a 5-point victory 69-64. It looked good early as Antakya took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Istanbul Universitesi had a 20-17 second period charge getting the lead and Antakya was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-69. Istanbul Universitesi made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American forward Michelle Campbell (188-84, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Russian center Irina Osipova (196-81) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Yvonne Turner (174-87, college: Nebraska, agency: Regeneracom Sports) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Greek forward Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Istanbul Universitesi have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kayseri. Antakya at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Canik Bld and Mersin. Istanbul Universitesi will play against bottom-ranked TED Ankara (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Antakya will play against the league's leader Galatasaray (#1) in Istanbul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
