Regular Season Round 16: NEMO Odessa - Mykolaiv-2 82-70

Very expected game when 13th ranked Mykolaiv-2 (2-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked NEMO Odessa (6-6) 82-70. The game was mostly controlled by NEMO Odessa. Mykolaiv-2 was better in fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. NEMO Odessa had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for forward Oleksandr Gudkov (204-90) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Nikita Naiko (193-92) contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. NEMO Odessa's coach Edmunds Valeiko used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Dmitro Ilchenko (204-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Mykhailo Korovin (200-95) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Mykolaiv-2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. NEMO Odessa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 6-6 record. Mykolaiv-2 lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
