An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Take-Off Wuerzburg in a game in Viernheim versus TSV Amicitia (#8) 68-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Take-Off Wuerzburg. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 9 points. TSV Amicitia forced 21 Take-Off Wuerzburg turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. American forward Alysa Horn (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) nailed 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and guard Julia Busalt (170-87) accounted for 14 points. Canadian guard Debbie Yeboah (168) came up with 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Margret Pfister (182-86) added 3 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Take-Off Wuerzburg in the defeat. Take-Off Wuerzburg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TSV Amicitia (6-7) moved-up to sixth place in South, which they share with Mainz. Loser Take-Off Wuerzburg keeps the fifth position with six games lost. TSV Amicitia will meet Rhein MB II (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Take-Off Wuerzburg will play against Speyer / Schifferstadt (#4) in Dudenhofen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
