Leader Darussafaka delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they beat 17th ranked Hacettepe (3-15) 82-71 in Ankara. The game without a history. Darussafaka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 assists. The former international forward Ersin Goerkem (198-77) contributed with 15 points and 8 assists for the winners. Darussafaka's coach Orhun Ene allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian forward Dejan Jeftic (200-89) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Keith Chamberlain (204-87, college: Grinnell) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hacettepe. Four Hacettepe players scored in double figures. Darussafaka maintains first position with 14-4 record. Hacettepe lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 15 games lost. Darussafaka will play against Antalya (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hacettepe will play against Bandirma Kir. (#18) in Balikesir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
