Eleventh-ranked Kakanj (4-9) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Mladost (11-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Mrkonjic Grad managed to secure only four-point victory 73-69. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kakanj. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 14-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-9. Serbian guard Vojin Svilar (188-86, college: W.Georgia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Obrad Tomic (207-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four Mladost players scored in double figures. Croatian swingman Luka Drezga (196-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Montenegrin power forward Filip Goranovic (205-85) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kakanj. Mladost have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-3 record. Kakanj at the other side keeps the eleventh place with nine games lost. Mladost will face Leotar (#6) in Trebinje in the next round where they are favorite. Kakanj will play at home against the league's second-placed Spars Sarajevo (#2) and hope to win that game.
