Third ranked Istanbul Universitesi (14-3) crushed at home 14th ranked TED Ankara (2-15) by 24 points 90-66, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game without a history. Istanbul Universitesi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to TED Ankara's 46. Istanbul Universitesi looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by TED Ankara's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Shenise Johnson (180-90, college: Miami, FL) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Nigerian swingman Mactabene Amachree (190-78) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Marcedes Marie Walker (191-86, college: Pittsburgh, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Istanbul Universitesi and four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Istanbul Universitesi. They maintain third place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader Galatasaray. Loser TED Ankara stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Istanbul Universitesi will meet at home Canik Bld (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. TED Ankara will play against the league's leader Galatasaray (#1) and hope to secure a win.
