Regular Season Round 15: Virum - Horsens 70-59

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Virum's (3-12) home victory over bottom-ranked Horsens (1-12) 70-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Virum. Horsens managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Horsens to just 5 points in third quarter. It was an exceptional evening for forward Louise Hansen (175-95) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Ivana Kostic (177-85) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Virum's coach Turi Hoegh used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Emily White (186-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and guard Bendicte Houmoller (172-95) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Horsens in the defeat. Virum moved-up to eighth place. Horsens lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Virum will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Horsens will play against the league's second-placed Amager (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
