Regular Season Round 14: Marburg - Saarlouis 79-59

The game in Marburg supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (7-7) played at the court of sixth ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (8-6). BC Pharmaserv Marburg did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-59 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TV Saarlouis Royals. The game was mostly controlled by BC Pharmaserv Marburg. TV Saarlouis Royals managed to win second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international Margret Skuballa (186-87) who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Kellindra Zackery (182-88, college: Newman) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four BC Pharmaserv Marburg players scored in double figures. BC Pharmaserv Marburg's coach Patrick Unger used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Green Bay) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Levke Brodersen (170-94) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. BC Pharmaserv Marburg moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted TV Saarlouis Royals keep the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Halle and Herner. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will meet Herner TC (#7) on the road in the next round. TV Saarlouis Royals will play against the league's second-placed Rhein Main Baskets and hope to secure a win.
