The game with biggest result difference took place in Manisa. Local Vestel (12-6) outscored 9th ranked ITU Istanbul (9-8) 101-65 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Vestel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vestel outrebounded ITU Istanbul 45-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. ITU Istanbul was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists. Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Vestel players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian forward Ejike Ugboaja (206-85) who recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Rahim Rizvanoglu (183-86) added 9 points and 7 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vestel have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Ankara DSI Era. ITU Istanbul lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Vestel will face Istanbul B.B. (#7) on the road in the next round. ITU Istanbul will play against Buyukcekmece and hope to win that game.
