Regular Season Round 15: Steaua CSM - Craiova 59-69

There was no surprise in Bucuresti where 10th ranked Steaua CSM (7-8) was defeated by seventh ranked Craiova (9-6) 69-59 on Sunday. Steaua CSM was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Craiova forced 19 Steaua CSM turnovers. Steaua CSM was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard LeVar Seals (195-82, college: De Paul) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Travis Bureau (203-88, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Four Craiova players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian forward Bozo Djurasovic (200-87) who recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds and Jamaican-Canadian guard Garry Gallimore (192-84) added 13 points respectively. Craiova moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rovinari. Newly promoted Steaua CSM keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Craiova will face bottom-ranked Farul Const. (#14) in Constanca in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Steaua CSM will play at home against Gaz Metan (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
