Date: January 26, 2014
Bottom-ranked Don Bosco Bamberg managed to get a third victory, breaking the seven-game losing streak. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Osnabruck 79-73. The guests were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-19 Osnabruck's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 79-73 at the end of the game. Don Bosco Bamberg's coach Steffen Dauer allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 20 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists by American forward Ali Schwagmeyer (180-90, college: Quincy, agency: Gamble Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Osnabruck. Power forward Britta Worms (186-88) added 21 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Four Osnabruck players scored in double figures. Don Bosco Bamberg maintains twelfth position with 3-11 record. Osnabruck lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with ten games lost.
