No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Juventus (7-11) crushed bottom-ranked LSU-Atletas (3-16) in Kaunas 87-63 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Juventus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to LSU-Atletas' 32. Juventus looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 8 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Edgaras Stanionis (194-88) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Tomas Urbonas (215-92) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for LSU-Atletas. Juventus maintains eighth position with 7-11 record. LSU-Atletas lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Juventus will face Dzukija (#9) in Alytus in the next round. LSU-Atletas will play at home against Lietkabelis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
