Regular Season Round 16: Lemvig - SISU 71-82

Date: February 1, 2014
The game between Top Four teams took place in Lemvig. 4th ranked host Lemvig (9-7) lost to first ranked SISU (15-1) 82-71The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Lemvig was better in fourth quarter 21-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU forced 25 Lemvig turnovers. Strangely Lemvig outrebounded SISU 33-21 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Kiki Lund (177-83, college: Dayton) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 assists and forward Tea Jorgensen (177-87) supported her with 24 points and 5 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five SISU players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) did not help to save the game for Lemvig. Her fellow American import power forward Raven Berry (185-88, college: SIU Edwardsville) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. SISU have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-1 record. Lemvig at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lemvig will play at home against Horsens (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
