Leader Galatasaray delivered the seventeenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked TED Ankara (2-16) 83-52. The game without a history. Galatasaray led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to TED Ankara's 34. American center Kelsey Bone (193-91, college: Texas A&M) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian swingman Mactabene Amachree (190-78) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (180-89, college: Drexel) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray (17-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser TED Ankara stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Galatasaray will meet at home Istanbul Universitesi (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. TED Ankara will play against Ceyhan Bld (#12) in Adana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
