Very predictable result when sixth ranked Satu Mare (9-7) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Targu Mures (1-15) 74-58. The game was mostly controlled by Satu Mare. Targu Mures was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Targu Mures 38-20 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Kortni Jones (175-91, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Interperformances) nailed 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Ramona Tarta (173-89) accounted for 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Lashantel Wilson (175) came up with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Danielle Walker (178-86, college: Clark Atlanta) added 17 points respectively for Targu Mures in the defeat. Satu Mare maintains sixth place with 9-7 record, which they share with Brasov. Targu Mures at the other side stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. They share it with Craiova. Satu Mare will play against Craiova (#13) in Craiova in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Targu Mures will play on the road against Galati to get more than just one victory in their record.
