Regular Season Round 19: Ankara DSI Era - Yesilgiresun 93-95

The most exciting game of round 19 in the TB2L took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Ankara DSI Era (12-7) to second ranked Yesilgiresun (14-5) 95-93 in the game for the second place. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 57-44 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Yesilgiresun especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Guard Osman Orcun Gollu (190-77) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Hakan Erol (200-83) answered with 27 points and 4 assists and Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV) added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Ankara DSI Era. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yesilgiresun have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-5 record behind leader Darussafaka. Newly promoted Ankara DSI Era keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Yesilgiresun are looking forward to face Maliye Milli (#14) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ankara DSI Era's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena Hacettepe.
