Regular Season Round 19: Istanbul DSI - Pamukkale 61-70

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Pamukkale (12-7) beat on the road 15th ranked Istanbul DSI (6-13) 70-61 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-61. It was a very good performance for American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international swingman Ulug Kacaniku (202-85) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: Alti Sport) answered with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall, agency: Two Points) added 19 points in the effort for Istanbul DSI. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Pamukkale. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Istanbul DSI keeps the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Pamukkale will face league's leader Darussafaka in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Istanbul DSI will play on the road against Final Genclik (#9) in Bursa and hope to win that game.
