Regular Season Round 19: LSU-Atletas - Lietkabelis 71-93

11th ranked LSU-Atletas (3-17) was outscored at home by tenth ranked Lietkabelis (5-15) with the biggest margin this round 93-71 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Lietkabelis. LSU-Atletas was better in fourth quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lietkabelis dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to LSU-Atletas' 28. They outrebounded LSU-Atletas 44-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. At the losing side guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) responded with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Tomas Urbonas (215-92) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lietkabelis maintains tenth place with 5-15 record. LSU-Atletas lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Lietkabelis will face higher ranked Dzukija (#9) in Alytus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
