The game in Angra Heroismo supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Illiabum (14-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Terceira (9-8). Illiabum smashed Terceira 86-45. The game without a history. Illiabum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Terceira to just 5 points in third quarter. Illiabum dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Terceira's 10. Illiabum forced 24 Terceira turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Terceira's players. It was a great evening for forward Joao Fernandes (198-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Terceira at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Illiabum will play against Guifoes (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Terceira will play against Sangalhos (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
