Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Urla BLD (1-13) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Bursa BSB (8-6) 111-44 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bursa BSB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 102 of its points in the paint compared to Urla BLD's 34. Bursa BSB forced 29 Urla BLD turnovers and outrebounded them 57-34 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Urla BLD's players. American forward Alyssia Brewer (190-90, college: UCLA) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and center Deniz Selin Ekiz (189-89) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Bursa BSB players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Fatma Gobekli with 9 points and 12 rebounds and Hulya Cakici (-88) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bursa BSB moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Kocaeli. Urla BLD lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Bursa BSB will face Nigde Turk Telekom (#7) on the road in the next round. Urla BLD will play against Kastamonu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
