An interesting game took place in Vaerlose where higher ranked Aabyhoj (8-8) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Vaerlose (3-12) 78-68 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Vaerlose. Aabyhoj managed to win fourth quarter 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aabyhoj 42-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. American point guard Devon Quattrochi (168-91, college: Smith) fired 25 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Saudi Arabian guard Hanna Sheikh (180-92) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Bianca Morsoe (178-89) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds and guard Maria Jespersen (182-94) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Vaerlose moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Virum. Loser Aabyhoj dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Vaerlose will meet higher ranked Horsholm (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aabyhoj will have a break next round.
