Regular Season Round 19: Phoenix Hagen - TBB Trier 73-57

Date: February 2, 2014
Rather expected game when 13th ranked TBB Trier (7-13) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Phoenix Hagen (9-10) 73-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Phoenix Hagen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). His fellow American import forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Phoenix Hagen's coach Ingo Freyer used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89, agency: LUMANI 10.7) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (184-87, college: Wisconsin) scored 17 points. Phoenix Hagen moved-up to tenth place. TBB Trier lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Phoenix Hagen will face Mitteldeutscher BC (#11) in Weissenfels in the next round. TBB Trier will play at home against Artland Dragons and hope to win that game.
