No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Craiova (10-7) outleveled at home bottom-ranked Farul Const. (1-16) 100-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. Craiova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Farul Const.'s 38. Craiova forced 26 Farul Const. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Farul Const.'s players. American guard Travis Bureau (203-88, college: La-Lafayette) stepped up and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Mihai Gavrila (205-90) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Craiova players scored in double figures. Guard Cezar Stanescu (191-88) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and the former international center Senai Isleam (217-76, agency: Court Side) scored 14 points. Farul Const.'s coach Costel Cernat gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Craiova maintains sixth place with 10-7 record, which they share with Pitesti and Rovinari. Farul Const. lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Craiova will face CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (#6) at home in the next round. Farul Const. will play against Pitesti (#8) and hope to win that game.
