Liga Nationala top team - CSU Sibiu (13-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu (10-7) 75-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu won second period 19-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CSU Sibiu made 28-of-35 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu only scored eleven points from the stripe. 29 personal fouls committed by CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
