There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Bursa BSB (8-7) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Nigde Turk Telekom (5-10) 72-61 on Wednesday. Bursa BSB was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Nigde Turk Telekom dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Bursa BSB's 34. Nigde Turk Telekom forced 35 Bursa BSB turnovers and outrebounded them 56-35 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mukaddis Aksoy (-91) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Mihrace Bugdayci (-92) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Merve Kilic produced 12 points and 4 steals and Rezzan Dikyol added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Nigde Turk Telekom maintains seventh place in Group C with 5-10 record. Loser Bursa BSB keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Nigde Turk Telekom will face higher ranked Tekkekoy (#4) in Samsun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bursa BSB will play on the road against Kastamonu and hope to win that game.
