There was no surprise in Aarhus where 6th ranked Horsholm (8-11) was defeated by second ranked Bakken (14-3) 93-78 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-78. American guard Kenny Barker (191-86, college: Alaska-Anch.) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 assists for the winners and international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) chipped in 15 points. Bakken's coach Ville Tuominen used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side international forward Zarko Jukic (200-93) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Daniel Mortensen (202-94) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. Bakken have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 14-3 record behind leader Randers. Horsholm lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with SISU and Aalborg. Bakken will meet Falcon (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Horsholm will play against Naestved (#8) and hope to secure a win.
