The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-60. Amager made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Virum only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Virum 34-13 including a 22-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Keyona Bryant (186-90, college: St.Augustine) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Maria Dinesen (170-90) chipped in 24 points. Five Amager players scored in double figures. Forward Louise Hansen (175-95) produced 23 points and forward Cecilie Homann (185-89) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amager have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-2 record behind leader SISU. Newly promoted Virum keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Vaerlose. Amager are looking forward to face Vaerlose (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Virum will play against Stevnsgade and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
