Regular Season Round 20: Final Genclik - Istanbul DSI 77-81

There was an upset in Bursa where higher ranked Final Genclik (10-9) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Istanbul DSI (7-13) 81-77 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 29-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Final Genclik was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall, agency: Two Points) who added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Pitts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90) scored 13 points. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. Final Genclik's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Istanbul DSI moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Maliye Milli. Loser Final Genclik dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Istanbul DSI will face Pertevniyal (#16) in Istanbul in the next round.
