A very interesting game took place in Vilnius. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Nevezis (8-12) to top-ranked Lietuvos rytas (11-0) 67-64 on Friday evening. Nevezis was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 27-17 charge of Lietuvos rytas, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 21 Nevezis turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Nevezis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by the former international Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) who scored that evening 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international power forward Tautvydas Lydeka (208-83) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Lietuvos rytas' coach Aleksandar Petrovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 23 points by forward Simas Buterlevicius (200-89) did not help to save the game for Nevezis. The former international guard Vidas Ginevicius (194-78, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points for the guests. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-0 record having nineteen points less than leader Tonybet. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 12 games lost. Lietuvos rytas will have a break next round. Nevezis will play on the road against the league's second-placed P.Zvaigzdes (#2) in Pasvalys and hope to win that game.
